Buying Process Detail

Thanks, Lazy Palms; I do agree with you.

I just need to figure out how to separate the shipping; then there's the amount
to consider. It is different for every size, weight and destination. A shipping
calculator will solve all that, when we get one here. In the meantime.... we need
to find the best way. Most have I guess, but I'm not there yet, :)

I guess the cart here will find whatever $ shipping charge that I designate
when editing a product page?

Does it add them up before sending info to Google Checkout?

If not, that's where I'm in trouble. :) Under my "simple style" setup, Google
accepts only one total amount.

There IS a way to do the setup ("integrate ?", "API ?") so that Google Checkout
will do all that. But how to arrange that is way over my head - like trying to read
instructions typed in another language. Without all that, i couldn't test the Google
Checkout process.

I was not even sure I did "the simple way" right. I did find out that I could "be my
daughter" and buy from me here at AtomicMall. Then I could see the transaction
pages that a buyer would see. Of course there was no shipping to be added, so I
still don't know how that will work yet.

But I'm so happy that I DO know now that I did the basics right, 'cause the "sale"
went through! Then I canceled the sale in Google's admin. area. I had tried that
at Google first, but "it knew me" and wouldn't allow me to purchase from myself.

So now I'm looking for how to manage shipping cost separate from the product
price. But now I know that I CAN sell something and that's a relief!

Thanks again for your thoughts (and for listening to this confusing chaous).

Helen :)

The way your Google Checkout works is what I would love, but how to set
it up is my problem.

So I just gave that up and settled for checking the box (on the product
editing page) for "Accept Google Checkout". That's what I call the "simple way".

But I still didn't know if I needed to (or how to) "connect" my Atomic Mall
store sales to Google. The Test sale at my Atomic Mall store assured me that
it does work = "Happy Camper me!!!

I guess this must sound odd coming from a retired web host - but a good
web host does not need to be a script guru - we can hire people for that.
I know how to build websites - just not the "cart part". :)

I am a NEW buyer to this site, was very concerned about using it. I purchased and paid for my item on Dec 6, it is Dec 10 and I have not heard one word from the seller. I emailed them today, I am getting really concerned.

Dvetter- If you are concerned you can send an email to Member Zero here on these boards.

Many sellers sell on multiple sites and don't always get to the emails the buyers send them, and MANY emails get lost in their spam files too. That could be what is occuring with your seller.

It's only been 4 days too, so I wouldn't get too worried yet!

I don't think this is very good... as a dedicated seller he should respond within 2 business day maximum. Unlike us we response within 1 business day, in fact we ship within 1 business day and tracking information is provided within 2 business day.

For buyers who require fast shipping time, come and check us out at:
